About me
Business Background
Graduate of SDSU School of Business with Bachelors and Masters Degrees. I was a partner in a North County business that created 60+ quality jobs so our neighbors could thrive in our community.
Taking Action
As a co-lead for Surfrider Foundation I worked with the Encinitas Environmental Commission to reduce plastics in our environment. I was instrumental in the Encinitas Advocate changing their newspaper delivery from plastic bags tossed on your driveway to hand delivered in your mailbox. That stopped 1.2 million plastic bags a year from going directly into the landfill, clogging our sewers, and littering our streets.
Environmental Record
As a homeowner I've been involved in community government at the lowest level where I can make decisions that directly effect my family and my neighbors. As an HOA board member I've guided our board toward using less landscaping water and eliminating toxic chemicals like RoundUp.
Position and Priorities
It’s time for new leadership that prioritizes environmental protections and a sustainable future at the Leucadia Wastewater District. As a teacher raising a family here, I know how important it is that we fight for a greener world at all levels. Important decisions about water re-use and recycling, sustainability and carbon emission reduction are made by those who sit on the board of the local wastewater districts. Our board could be a leader in these initiatives with board members who champion the importance of creating a sustainable future.
